Risk Manager - Urgent Need

Mandatory Skills/Must Haves:

  • 3+ year's Underwriting and Risk Management experience in the credit card processing and industry
  • Good command of written and spoken English as well as written and spoken French is required
  • Must reside in Montreal or surrounding areas 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in the commercial finance industry
  • Conduct Due Diligence reviews of new merchant applications, ensuring accuracy
  • Able to monitor current merchant portfolios for irregularities and take action where     needed, including appropriate oral and written correspondence, liaising with external agencies and legal advisors
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders (internal, merchants, partners, acquirers)
  • Help guide Risk Strategy with senior management
  • Provide written summaries and other reporting to senior management
  • Able to work with executive and senior leadership within the organization.  This includes the ability to provide clear and concise updates to stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience with both strategic and tactical approaches to the work
  • Validate legal documents provided with new applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
  • The ability to make quick, sound decisions and recommendations and provide justification
  • Familiarity with basic finance and strong with figures, discounts, etc
