Join us at UMass Lowell for a panel discussion around a day in the life of the demand planner.

A Day in the Life of the Demand Planner:

The conversation will focus on how demand planners lead the forecasting process in various industries. This group of experienced panelists will discuss how they got into the field, how they effectively manage the challenges of working with a cross-functional group of individuals with competing expectations, and their day-to-day tips for being successful in the role.

Get outside your own four walls for a few hours and learn how others have tackled some of the same challenges you may be addressing today.

Patrick Bower:

 Patrick has a wide area of expertise, including S&OP, Demand Planning, Inventory, Network Optimization, ad Production Scheduling. A recognized expert on demand planning and S&OP, and a self-professed “S&OP geek” - Patrick was previously Practice Manager of Supply Chain Planning at the consulting firm, Plan4Demand where his client list included Diageo, Bayer, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, Foster Farms, Cabot Industries and American Girl. Patrick’s experience encompasses tenures with Cadbury, Kraft Foods, Unisys, and Snapple. Patrick also worked for the supply chain software company - Numetrix and was Vice President of R&D at Atrion International. He was also the recipient of IBF’s 2012 award for Excellence in Business Forecasting & Planning.


Jesper Maaloee:

Jesper is a Senior Demand Planner who takes a collaborative approach towards Demand Planning. He has experienced Demand Planning challenges by working for over a decade with major brands in the consumer finished goods industry.

His work experience covers planning of demand in companies such as LEGO, Yankee Candle, Lindt and Crabtree & Evelyn managing the forecast for large wholesale accounts as well as high level product families within the respective brands.


Jennifer Darmanin:

Jennifer is a Supply Chain Planning Analyst whose passion for improving the lives of others led her to apply her Supply Chain Management education to the Medical Device industry.

Jennifer has experience working in Demand & Supply Planning, Procurement, and Process Improvement and is skilled in Sales & Operations Planning, Cross Functional Collaboration, Project Management and Data Analysis.


Sachin Arora:

works as a Demand Planner at Alliance Tire Americas (part of Yokohama group) and plans for 1000+ SKUs for aftermarket, OE assembly and trucks segment of the business. In 1.5 years of his work at ATA he has established a S&OP process and changed the way forecasting has been done at ATA driving significant improvement in inventory health and reducing slow and non-moving inventory.

Before joining ATA team, Sachin worked at Demand Planning LLC as an Operations Analyst, for 2.5 years, where he worked with various clients on data analysis, statistical modeling, and sales forecasting. The scope of projects he worked on included – SKU Segmentation, Statistical Modeling and Forecasting in various tools like – SAP APO, Forecast Pro, Thrive Technologies and Inventory Analysis and optimization, portfolio rationalization. Prior to this he worked in India working mostly on inventory analysis.

Sachin has a Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS.
